Full-Stack Developer
- role: Currently WEALTHAWK is a very small company that is moving and developing faster each day. As such, we need to build out our team with individuals who have cross-functional abilities. The Full-Stack Engineer role involves developing, maintaining, and extending features across the scope of the WEALTHAWK app. The love-hate relationship between front- and back-end development will be yours to control as you’ll have full flexibility on the work you do.
- responsibilities:
- Build features on the Web Services and API to support them
- Write functions to efficiently handle and display data to users
- Collaborate with others to develop algorithms and analyses using our data
- Support scaling up and architecting future software
- requirements:
- General:
- Degree in Computer Science or experience that speaks to your abilities as a coder
- Ability to work highly independently and completely own feature development
- Front-End:
- Web development experience (especially React.js)
- Good eye for aesthetics on the web and extremely user focused
- Basic understanding of web protocols
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in user experience
- Knowledge of web security and best practices
- Javascript wizard
- Back-End:
- Software development experience (especially in Python)
- Strong foundations in algorithms and computer science
- Ability to analyze time, memory, and operational complexities
- Basic SQL knowledge
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with developing a robust API using FastAPI or similar
- Obsession with optimization and strong dislike of redundancies
- Nice to Have:
- Experience with automated build systems and continuous integration/deployment pipelines (especially through google cloud)
- Familiarity with GCP and deploying with docker
- Excellent soft skills (communication and collaboration are huge)
- General:
UI/X Engineer
- Role: We need someone with a passion for aesthetics, who is extremely user focused, and who has the web development experience to effectively execute their vision.
- Responsibilities:
- Create designs that focus on user experience
- Perform user studies and interviews to determine necessary projects
- Execute these designs and integrate into our web app
- Collaborate with others to develop features useful to the end users
- Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science or experience that speaks to your abilities as a coder
- Ability to work highly independently and completely own feature development
- Web development experience (especially React.js)
- Good eye for aesthetics on the web and extremely user focused
- Background in user experience
- Solid experience with design tools for mockups
Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer
- Role: The basis of WEALTHAWK is data and we are looking for an engineer to take a leading role in our data-focused ambitions. This Includes both predictive and analytical focuses with a strong engineering tint. Ideal candidates will understand data as a means to provide value to end-users.
- Responsibilities:
- Create useful models using currently available data
- Lead data scraping / collection by defining and searching out necessary data
- Collaborate with other engineers to integrate results into the finished, user-facing product
- Lead development of new features involving recommender systems, regressions, and classifications
- Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning or experience that speaks to your abilities as a coder
- Ability to work highly independently and take initiative on performing analyses / creating useful models
- Data scraping / processing
- Basic machine learning with a focus on textual and structured data
- Experience Preferred in the following:
- NLP/U (especially with Hugging Face)
- Recommendation Systems
- DNNs
- Statistical Methods
